New CFO at Íslandsbanki


Jón Gudni Ómarsson has been appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer of Íslandsbanki. Jón Gudni has broad experience of bank funding, internal pricing and balance sheet management.

Jón Gudni holds a Masters Degree in Quantitative and Computational Finance from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta as well as a CFA Degree. He has a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering and did a one year non-degree programme in Chinese language at the Beijing Language and Culture University in China.

For the past three years Jón Gudni has served as Head of Treasury at Íslandsbanki. He was an Executive Director in Treasury and in Leveraged Finance before that. Additionally Jón Gudni was an ALM software Consultant at SunGard in Boston where he was responsible for implementing an ALM software packages and advising various banks and financial institutions in the U.S. and Canada on how to model and measure their ALM exposures.
