Íslandsbanki issues a Global Compact Report

04.07.2014
Íslandsbanki has been adhering to the United Nation´s principles for corporate social responsibility over the last five years. The UN Global Compact strategic policy initiative is an agreement which sets the parameters within which Íslandsbanki works.

Íslandsbanki is proud to be a member as the Bank wants to invest in the future and to work towards ensuring that the world is preserved as best as possible for the generations to come. The Bank has now issued a Global Compact Report that summarizes the key areas that are in Íslandsbanki´s Corporate Social Responsibility policy: business, human capital, community and environment. New CSR objectives are set for the year 2014 and a new policy will be implemented before the end of the year.

By looking forward and being responsible in all its actions Íslandsbanki believes the outcome is a reliable bank that plays a proactive role in the enhancement of the community and the environment in which it operates.

The report is now accessible on the web.
