Over 15 thousand participants in Íslandsbanki Reykjavik maraþon

The 31st Reykjavik Marathon was held on the 23rd of August and there have never been as many registered participants. The total amount of registered participants was 15.654 and following is the number of participants per distance.

Marathon - 1.144
Half marathon - 2.498
10 km race - 7.005
Relay race - 114
3 km Fun Run - 1.914
Lazy Town Run - 2.979

The weather was ideal for running and runners were over the moon.

Íslandsbanki thanks the runners, the viewers on the sideline, our sponsors and all our staff members dearly for a fantastic day. Over 85 million ISK have been donated as all runners can run for a good cause which is substantially more donations than last year when the total amount raised was approximately 75 million ISK.
