Íslandsbanki teams up with a Fintech start-up to introduce a new mobile payment app

Íslandsbanki and the Fintech start-up Memento have developed and launched a new payment app called Kass. Kass for all – whichever bank they use

The app enables users to transfer funds among themselves simply by using a mobile phone number or a Kass user name. Users can also send requests for payment or split payments among a group of users. The app is linked to a payment card and bank account and can both send and receive payments. Anyone can use the app, no matter which commercial bank and phone company they do business with.

Security and simplicity

Emphasis is placed on security, simplicity, and good user experience. Íslandsbanki and Memento plan to continue their joint development work with the aim of offering secure and simple financial services.

Una Steinsdóttir, Director of Retail Banking, Íslandsbanki

“The Kass app is a superb add-on to our service. It focuses on making life simpler for our customers and other users through smart, safe payment solutions. We are extremely happy with our collaboration with Memento and look forward to continued cooperation with this vibrant growth company.”
