Record participation in the Íslandsbanki Reykjavík Marathon

30.08.2016

The Íslandsbanki Reykjavík Marathon, held last Saturday, was a terrific success and saw a record number of participants, with over 15,000 taking part.

Nearly ISK 97 million have already been collected for charitable organisations. The aim is to reach ISK 100 million, and it is still possible to donate in individual runners’ names until midnight on Wednesday 31 August. Interested parties can donate online at hlaupastyrkur.is. Last year, more than ISK 80 million were donated to 167 charitable organisations.

It has never been easier to pledge money in runners’ names, and now it is possible to use the Kass app for donations.
