Kjartan Smári Höskuldsson has been hired as managing director of IS Funds
Kjartan Smári Höskuldsson has been hired as managing director of IS Funds. Kjartan Smári has broad-based experience in the financial market, including nine years in management positions with Íslandsbanki’s asset management service VÍB, where he has led the Institutional Services, Pension Services, and Specialised Investment Funding departments. Kjartan Smári has a MA in International Business from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and BA in Psychology from the University of Iceland. He has also completed a securities trading examination.
IS Funds hf. is a specialised asset management and fund management company. Founded in 1994, it operates a wide range of mutual and investment funds. The company employs 15 asset management specialists and currently has ISK 100bn under management in its funds and specialised investments. It intends to place increased emphasis on specialised investments in the future, including real estate projects, loan funds, and venture capital funds, and the changes underway are part of this shift.
