Reduced service from 14-17 September
Online banking and app service will be reduced during the period from 14-17 September 2018, during the installation of Íslandsbanki’s new core computer system. Service both in the online bank and at branches will also be reduced on Monday 17 September 2018. Customers are encouraged to carry out their banking transactions before the weekend of the installation if possible, so as to minimise the inconvenience to them.
Íslandsbanki customers’ bank account statements will be updated after the weekend, even for transfers made during the weekend.
New and improved core systems
In the recent past, Íslandsbanki has been working towards the renewal of the Icelandic Banks' Data Centre’s deposit and payment systems. The project is large in scope, and after the installation, the Bank will be better equipped to embrace changes in banking services. The new system, which is from software provider Sopra Banking Software, is more flexible and offers enhanced possibilities for joint utilisation of software solutions.
