Íslandsbanki to terminate credit rating contract with Fitch Ratings

Íslandsbanki informs that following expiration and by agreement of parties, the credit rating service contract between Fitch Ratings and Íslandsbanki is to terminate.

The decision by Íslandsbanki is driven primarily from a cost perspective and the Bank will continue to work closely with S&P Global Ratings and is committed to comply with its obligations to provide the relevant information in an open and transparent way, in support of the rating agency's actions in relation to the Bank. 

S&P Global Ratings currently rates the Bank at BBB+/A-2 (outlook: Stable), affirmed in July 2018.
